Independent software developer & infrastructure consultant
New writing: The basement cloud — how a home lab became a working miniature of enterprise AI infrastructure, with no cloud bill. More in Writing.
About
I'm a software developer and systems consultant with three decades of experience planning, developing, and implementing solutions in the healthcare, defense, telecommunications, media, hospitality, and insurance verticals. I specialize in custom application development and self-hosted infrastructure. I work with a small set of long-term collaborators on product builds and back-office systems — from first design sketch through deployment and operations.
botelle.net has been my professional home on the web since 2002.
What I do
- Custom web and mobile application development
- Systems integration, workflow automation, and internal tooling
- Self-hosted infrastructure: networking, identity, and secure remote access
- Revenue-cycle and back-office software consulting
Current projects
- Minos PR Inbox — review and merge pull requests from your phone; GitHub and self-hosted Gitea/Forgejo (free, open source)
- LightsOut — free macOS menubar app: display off, Mac stays awake
- Nauti Husky — zero-backend water-conditions and swim-planning app (free, open source)
- Partner request intake — a gated request portal with SMS follow-ups for project collaborators
Existing clients
